Pamela Hute has had a life-long love affair with music. Her first album, Turtles Tales From Overseas, was released in May 2010 to critical acclaim. After playing some of the best stages in France (Olympia, Bataclan, Printemps de Bourges…), she released Bandit in 2013, mixed in Brooklyn by ’90s veteran engineer John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Cyndi Lauper, Dinosaur Jr., The Kills, Sonic Youth, The Breeders).
For her third record, Pamela put together a new band, with a second guitarist and a bass player and backing singer, and decided to produce the album herself. Highline was recorded with Jay Pellicci (The Dodos, Avi Buffalo, Sophie Hunger, Sleater-Kinney) between Paris, the Dordogne, New York and San Francisco.
With the Short Notice EP, she went back to her first love: indie rock. For the first time, Pamela played every instrument and recorded, produced and mixed the whole EP herself, capturing the raw energy her songwriting had always been looking for.
Today, Pamela produces, arranges, records and mixes other artists’ records at the Studio du Maine Noir, the studio she founded in the Dordogne countryside, from the first demo to the finished record. She also plays drums and sings in the duo Zombie Dog.
